Medividi x Hijack Sandals
Hijack Sandals partners with Greedy Dust present an art exhibition 'Burning Down the Feet' an interdisciplinary collaboration, uniting fashion, art, and music. This exhibition establishes a fusion zone for creativity, bringing together Indonesian artists and musicians who use Hijack Sandals as the primary canvas.
There are a total of ten artists and ten musicians, with each visual artist paired with a band to bring their interpretation to life on a sandal. Medividi was paired with Drizzly, an all-female band from Surabaya, known for their dream pop genre with light and easy to enjoy lyrics.
This artwork was largely inspired by Drizzly’s mini album “Fairyland”. Therefore, from the creation of the moodboards, colors, shapes, and overall looks, the work truly resembles Drizzly’s “Fairyland”. The pieces were intentionally made wearable to effectively represent Hijack Sandals as well.
In addition to looking at the band’s overall visual, artwork, and band merch, to truly infuse the artwork with their essence, Medividi created the moodboard, designed the pieces, and oversaw the production process, all while listening to Drizzly’s songs.
