Care Instructions
Our jewelries are 18K Gold-plated brass which means covered with a thin layer of gold. The gold layer fades and tarnishes over time. An extra care should be taken to prevent it from wearing out and maximize its lifespan.
Do not spray on perfume or other sprays while wearing your gold plated jewelry.
Gently rub the surface of your gold plated jewelry using a very soft jewelry cloth or a cotton ball to remove any dust and dirt it has acquired.
Wait until your lotion or cream is dry or has been absorbed by your skin before you wear your gold plated ring, bracelet or necklace.
To avoid scratches, keep it separated from other types of jewelry you have and storing your piece in ziplock plastic can help prevent your piece from tarnishing.
Oil, nail polish, nail polish remover, chlorine, perfume and the like may react with metal/plated jewelry and will cause it to tarnish easily. This also goes with sweat.
If your jewelry needs more cleaning you may clean it with warm, soapy water. Soak it for a few minutes and you may clean it with a soft brush.
If your piece reaches its maximum lifespan and the goldplating has already started
to wear off, you can have it plated once again or simply just embrace vintage brass's true color.
